It peaked at number 18 on the U.S. Top Pop Albums chart. The album features a blend of upbeat, racing-themed movie tunes and, unusually for this era of his career, a few high-quality, non-film bonus tracks. SOUNDTRACK (CONTINUES) PREVIOUSThe "Spinout" sessions continued to follow the same pattern as they had for the last four years. Nine songs were created for the soundtrack, and all of them were featured in the movie. Most of these songs came from the usual group of songwriters, with their publishing rights transferred to Elvis Presley Music and Gladys Music, the companies owned by Elvis and the Colonel. One of the songs, "Stop, Look, and Listen", had already been recorded by Ricky Nelson and Bill Haley & His Comets. Two songs were released as a single a month before the film debuted, with the title track paired with "All That I Am", and while both songs charted separately, the A-side just barely cracked the Top 40.SOUNDTRACKCONTINUED PREVIOUSBACK TO MOVIE DIRECTORY
